Right now as I write this post, I listen to the rain outside and I feel so blessed. But for these rainy days, jeans and a light comfortable shirt is a perfect outfit. Lots of outfits can be elevated with the right accessories. For this one I picked matching high heals and to break the monochromatic look I added a red clutch that matches the embroidery on my shirt. Little details on any outfit can enhance a piece of clothing. I really enjoy monochrome outfits, but like with every trend it is easy to go overboard. Keeping it simple is the key and trying to find the right pieces to build such an outfit takes some effort. Experimenting with different textures will help to create a monochrome chic look. I balanced out my rough jeans with a cotton shirt and velvet shoes. To break the tie of the blue palette I finished this look with a red leather clutch.
These photos were taken in downtown Redlands, California at an old train station. This historic city has so much to offer that every weekend we are trying to discover something new in it. History is what makes a place really timeless, because what was built one hundred years ago is still in style today. This train station, decorated with cobblestones and large pillars, tells stories about trains full of travelers rushing through the orange groves towards Los Angeles. Today, it is an abandoned train station, but spending some time there I could imagine the busyness of this place years ago. I think it is the most beautiful train station in the area.
